  •  You formulate the strategy (4Ps) and vision for the assigned categories based on the Filière strategy and the category roles, translate it into an operational year plan and ensure realization, as well as provide input to the filière strategy
  • Select vendors, investigate and ensure feedback on performance of vendors for own categories based on agreed upon requirements and internal guidelines, build and maintain relationships with them in order to ensure vendors meet the agreed requirements and support the category objectives.
  • Develop and manage the product assortment including new and innovative products in line with the Filière strategy in order to ensure product differentiation, realize profitability objectives and achieve customer satisfaction
  • You manage promotions and work (together with the Marketing Dpt.) on communciations and marketing support, for the assigned categories in line with the promotion and commercial strategy and in collaboration with the promotion and marketing teams as well as select products to highlight, in order to increase store sales and profitability.
  • You coordinate the end-to-end process with regard to the own categories in collaboration with Quality, Logistics and stores in order to ensure efficient processes are in place and realize sales objectives.
  • You keep track of relevant developments in the own categories and filière, exchange knowledge with colleagues and contribute to knowledge transfer within the organization, in order to be informed on trends and developments and be able to put these into practice.

  • You have a Master degree or equivalent and more than 5 years relevant experience in a similar function
  • You have a passion for sales, retail and products (food/ non-food)
  • You have excellent sales skills and strong negotiation skills
  • You are analytic and creative
  • You have a good balance between strategic and pragmatic thinking
  • You have indirect influencing skills and know how to inspire people
  • Good organization and coordination skills 
  • Great stakeholder management and collaboration
  • You are result-oriented, structured and organized
